16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence 2016

Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and it marks the first day of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

To commemorate the 16 days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, BCSTH have created a one-pager of talking points that may assist when you are advocating on the issue of men’s violence against women and the importance of maintaining a gendered analysis of this issue.

Over the course of the next 16 days, we will also be sharing facts and figures that illustrate the impact of gender-based violence in our society on our Facebook page. Share them to bring awareness to this important issue. Use them to support your funding proposals. Bring it up with your local MLA and MP to demand real actions from the government.

Thank you.
