Getting Started

The BC Society of Transition Houses curates an extensive online catalogue of resources and a library lending service for our members. Library resources are carefully selected for anti-violence workers and the women, children and youth they support, and include online links, books, DVDs, psycho-educational games, and BCSTH publications. User reviews add context for how these resources are used in practice and add an extra layer of value to our catalogue.

Library Services for Members

  • Loans of books, videos and games that are sent and returned by mail at no cost to our members
  • Research assistance from our librarian who helps members find specific information and resources
  • Updates of new resources via the weekly newsletter

Library Services for Non-Members

  • BCSTH will lend to libraries in BC so non-members may request an inter-library loan via your local library
  • Access to our online catalogue

It’s easy to become a BC Society of Transition Houses Library borrower. To register, fill out and submit our online application form or use the PDF version and email, fax or mail it back to us. Remember to have your Executive Director or Program Manager verify that you work for a BCSTH member organization and that your organization will take responsibility for the cost of lost, missing or damaged items.

After you register as a library borrower, you can start requesting items.

If you are leaving your position, please notify us to remove you from our list of library borrowers.
