The webinar covers essentials such as credit scores\, credit cards\, lines of credit\, debt strategies\, and effective communication techniques for negotiating with banks and organizations. Presented by Chavisa Horemans MES\, CDC\, CTRC \, Founder of The Mother Corp\, this workshop draws on holistic\, evidence based\, trauma informed practice rooted in both professional and lived expertise. DESCRIPTION:The BC Society of Transition Houses (BCSTH) will hold its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday\, October 20\, 2026\, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm PST at the Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport in Richmond\, BC on the unceded traditional territory of the Musqueam First Nation. \nThe BCSTH AGM is open to BCSTH members and the public. The AGM will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person. The AGM package and livestream information will become available in October.

DESCRIPTION:The 2026 BCSTH Annual Training Forum will take place at the Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport in Richmond\, BC from Wednesday\, October 21- Friday\, October 23\, 2026. \n  \nIn a continuation of the BCSTH Annual Training Forum theme of Strength in Solidarity\, this years’ focus is\, Amplifying Our Collective Voices. \n  \nIn these challenging times\, when we move beyond individual advocacy and come together to form collective power\, we can amplify our message\, and demand systemic change. Join us as we gather\, listen\, and learn\, effectively sharing the soapbox amongst the diverse perspectives that define the anti- violence sector. Together\, we will foster the curiosity and collaboration needed to inspire new and innovative ways to shelter and support all women\, children and youth experiencing\, or at risk of violence. \n  \nRegistration will open in August and the Call for Proposals for workshops is open now until July 3. \n  \nLink to the CFP: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RXYHCP2
