Women Centred Housing Design Project Coordinator

Ghazaleh (she/her) is a Project Coordinator for the Women-Centred Housing & Design Project. This project focuses on identifying solutions and strategies for designing long-term housing that is suitable and appropriate for women and their children surviving violence. Ghazaleh is an urban researcher and architectural designer. She holds a Master of Architecture from Iran and completed a Masters in Urban Studies at Simon Fraser University. Ghazaleh takes a keen interest in exploring design of the built environment, using a research and evidence based lens. She has been working in the areas of housing, complete/15-minute neighbourhoods, public realm and liminal spaces, making efforts to investigate their social uses and outcomes especially for the underserved communities. As a visual arts enthusiast, Ghazaleh enjoys painting and sketching in her spare time.
