BC Society of Transition Houses received funding in 2011 from Status of Women Canada for a two-year Blueprint project. Without the replication of existing services, our goal has been to develop a model for service that supports the needs of women leaving transition housing programs. With input from an advisory committee, we developed a service delivery model to provide continuous, comprehensive support for women leaving violence. The project, which included women with recent lived experience in the development process, was piloted in two sites—one in Creston, the other in Penticton—and completed November 30, 2012. The final external evaluation has been completed, and provides an overview of the project and of project outcomes.
