Northern Health Connections
What service is provided?
Northern Health Connections is a travel service program for people who need to travel outside their home community for non-emergency health care or need to get home after travelling by ambulance to another community. Travel companions can also travel with you and immediate family may use the bus to travel to support family members who require health care services outside of their home community. This service is also available for seniors, people with mobility challenges, and women experiencing violence.
How to book tickets?
As a woman experiencing violence, it is necessary to work with a transition house organization to reserve your seat to be able to travel by Northern Health Connection. You can find contact info for local transition houses in your areas in our membership directory.
Funding available?
Funding may be available to cover the ticket costs. Please inquire with the transition house organization to see if funds are available.

BC Bus North
What service is provided?
BC Bus North provides scheduled service to 39 communities across Northern BC.
How to book tickets?
Anyone can book tickets on BC Bus North by phone at 1-844-564-7494 or online. It is recommended to book your travel by BC Bus North in advance to ensure you will have a seat. You may show up at a stop and pay the bus driver directly (debit or credit card only) but if there is no seat available, you will not be able to travel. You also need a government issued photo ID to travel with BC Bus North.
