Every year the BC Society of Transition Houses hosts an Annual Training Forum to gather and inspire anti-violence workers throughout BC. Whether in-person or virtual, the ATF brings people together to share their knowledge, skills and commitment to the work of supporting women, children and youth experiencing violence.
This year’s theme is Strength in Solidarity: Weaving Communities & Generations and will take place at the Radisson Airport Hotel in Richmond, BC on October 23- 25, 2024, with the AGM taking place on October 22.
In 2024, BCSTH is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Violence is Preventable (VIP) school based prevention and awareness program delivered by PEACE Program counsellors. We are also honouring the dynamic work of the Cedar Blankets Project which reduces barriers and builds culturally safe wraparound supports for Indigenous women and their children accessing transition houses and safe homes.
