Sheltering Pets and People: A Toolkit for Women’s Transition House and Support Programs

BCSTH is thrilled to announce the release of a new resource Sheltering Pets and People: A Toolkit for Women’s Transition House and Support Programs. This toolkit, which was adapted from the C.A.R.E. Handbook, offers an overview of the connections between violence against women and animals, as well as a broad range of practical tools and strategies for supporting pets in Transition House, Second Stage and Safe Home programs, including sample policies and forms.
