Sairoz Sekhon is currently the Program Manager at Immigration Integration for the Government of BC. She worked at BC Housing for 17 years and was the Director of the Women’s Transition Housing and Supports Program and was also the Priority Placement Coordinator. She brings frontline member program experience to the Board as well as she was a Manager at Chimo Community Services, a Victim Support Worker at Family Services of Greater Vancouver and a Women’s Support Worker at Ishtar and Cridge Centre for the Family. Sairoz brings a wide perspective on BC’s housing affordability and gender- based violence crisis and has been a longstanding advocate and champion for women and their families over her career. She has been at the forefront of innovative supports and housing development for the anti-violence sector, influencing decision-making at all levels of government and is passionate about furthering the cause of long-term affordable housing in BC and safety for all women and their families.
