Opioid Poisoning Response Training with St John Ambulance and BCSTH

This training series is now completed and registration is closed. Please contact training@bcsth.ca for more information about how you can access OPRT training.

BCSTH and St John Ambulance are pleased to offer free Opioid Poisoning Response training to all BCSTH member organizations and their staff from January-March, 2024. The training consists of online, facilitator-led group sessions where participants can learn about opioid use, poisonings, and how to use nasal naloxone. Participants will receive a free nasal naloxone kit upon completion of the training.

Each 90-minute session will cover:

· Stigma and harm reduction

· How to respond to an opioid poisoning

· How to administer nasal naloxone

· Self-care after a traumatic event

The training sessions will not be recorded and live virtual attendance is required to receive a certificate and a nasal naloxone kit. Nasal naloxone kits will be shipped by BCSTH to participating member organizations in March 2024, once all the trainings are completed.

If you cannot attend any of the sessions offered, or would like to organize a training specifically for your organization, please contact training@bcsth.ca.
